Popular comic actor Sunil Grover who has wowed the nation with his antics as Gutthi in comedian Kapil Sharma’s TV show Comedy Nights With Kapil has quit the show.

The show, aired on Colors has become immensely popular, thanks to producer-anchor Kapil Sharma's comic timing and rib-tickling combination of characters like Daadi, Bua, Palak and Gutthi.

Gutthi's antics and songs have always left the audiences and the guests in split.

A source says, "There were some creative issues and not monetary ones as reported. It’s unlikely that he will return to the show. His contract had ended and he also had some prior commitment which is why he won’t be seen on the show henceforth. Sunil loves the show and has great respect and regard for the show and Kapil. It has given him a lot of popularity. Through the show, he was able to make people laugh and was part of a great team."

Producer Kapil Sharma could not be reached for comments.

Sunil Grover was unavailable for comment.
