The bad news is that Damian Lewis' Sgt Brody seems to be really dead. He does not appear in the fourth season's one-minute trailer and Claire Danes' Carrie Mathieson is left holding the baby, literally.
As a working mother, she is fighting on three battlefronts: she is a CIA operative stationed in war-torn Pakistan and we lost count of blasts in that trailer, she is a mother with a full-time job, and she is still facing issues related to her mental illness.
She has not lost her ability to down pills with wine and is again shown doing it in the trailer. Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) makes an appearance in the trailer and despite his earlier distaste for black ops, he is trigger happy here.
We also see Quinn and Carrie doing a fairly good impression of a couple's fight: "What's wrong with you?" "No, what is wrong with you?"
The trailer saves the best for the last when we see Saul (Mandy Patinkin) telling Carrie, "Happy Hunting". We hope that the show yet again stays true to its tagline: There's no place like Homeland.
The show airs in the US from October 5.
