Television actor Divyanka Tripathi, who became a household name after her much-adored role, Vidya, in the tele soap Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, will now show her comedy skills in a rom-com titled Chintu Chinki Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story.

Elaborating on the show that will be soon aired on SAB TV, Divyanka, who is playing the lead character of Chinki, says, “This show is based on situational comedy and I play an innocent, sweet girl, Chinki, who hails from Bhopal. She is responsible and has strong values, and that is why I could relate to her a lot. It is basically a feel good show. It’s all about those stolen glances, first love letters, family cabin dates in restaurants, and of course family opposition as well.”

Interestingly, Divyanka is coming back as a pair with actor Rajesh Kumar after the two shared the screen in Mrs & Mr Sharma Allahabadwale. So how comfortable is she working with Rajesh? “He fun to work with. He is quite impromptu and we have developed a great chemistry as we have now been working with each other for quite sometime now,” says the actor.

Moving on, Divyanka reveals that she quite comfortable working in TV soaps but not too keen in participating in reality shows. “I have been offered several reality shows but I am just not inclined towards them. I am a very simple girl, who doesn’t have much masala in her personal life to offer, which I guess is a prerequisite of a reality show contestant, especially if he or she wants to win. That way, I am a big bore!” admits the actor.

Finally, does she want to enter the big screen? “I would love to do films. The script has to click for me to say yes to any project. Also, unfortunately, till now whenever I have been offered a film, I was busy with some other show,” she says.
