All the rules were broken mercilessly,” rues Monica Bedi who admits that she’ll think 10 times before signing on for another reality show. The actress who was a participant on the Imagine show,

Desi Girl

, has been eliminated. Isshita Arun, Kashmera Shah and Roshni Chopra are in the finals.

“Our contract did not permit us to carry cell phones, cash or liquour. Yet, all the other contestants, except for Sambhavna (Seth) and me, had carried these into the village to bribe the villagers to save them from elimination. After Sam’s exit, I was thrown into the danger zone every week,” says Bedi.

She adds that the village Panchayat saved her several times before Shah and her group conspired to brainwash some of the boys to create a ruckus if Isshita Arun was eliminated. “They even abused a Panchayat member and forced him to change his decision. Neither the channel nor the production house listened to my request for public voting,” grouses Bedi.

She points out that the girls who are still on the show that concludes this week, neither performed their tasks satisfactorily nor did they do any of the housework even though that was the deciding factor in choosing the ultimate

Desi Girl

.

“I’m not complaining about my exit even though I was hyped as a possible winner. But I have to say that I got a raw deal. My statements were misrepresented and even edited to the point that I came across as a vicious lady,” Bedi sighs, obviously referring to her statements that she wanted to win the show. She adds, “Sure I did, for my father, my family and my people since I come from Punjab.”

“But these comments were snipped out,” she rants. “I’m disappointed not because I didn’t win the title but because my image has been tarnished.”
