Actor-model Sophie Choudry, who was believed to be one of the strongest contenders on an on-going real TV dance ity show, was eliminated last night (August 30). However, she feels that her performance was good enough to take her to the finals.

"I certainly deserved to go till the end. I think I was a consistent performer, trying out a new form and style every week. Whoever has heard about my elimination is shocked," says Sophie.

The singer and former VJ also feels that in such shows, TV artistes have maximum chance of winning, as compared to other celebrity participants.

She says, "Going by the past instances, Gurmeet (Choudhary) and Drashti (Dhami) were winners of the earlier episodes, and this time, among the five finalists, three are TV artistes. And, Shakti (Mohan) is a professional dancer as well as a TV artiste, which makes four out of five people from the television industry. I'm sure a lot of people feel that way. It's one of the reasons I said no [to doing the show] for several years."

Sophie adds that the judges even requested the channel to retain her on the show.

"I was surprised to be in the face-off with Akshat (Singh). It was a tough decision for the judges, but ultimately they let me go. I'm told the judges asked the channel if there was a way to retain both of us, but unfortunately there wasn't," she says, adding, "I knew I wouldn't win. I wanted to win the love and respect of the judges and the audience, and I'm grateful I managed to achieve that."?
