I’m out like a true hero: KRK

A disgraceful ouster from Bigg Boss 3 but Kamaal Rashid Khan remains undaunted. Even as other inmates rejoiced at his exit, none of that has dampened the over-confidence of KRK.

"Good riddance to bad rubbish." That’s how friend Vindoo summed up Kamaal Rashid Khan’s unceremonious exit from the Bigg Boss house, even as other KRKinmates rejoiced at his ouster.

But none of that has dampened the bubbling over-confidence of KRK (that’s how friends have known him for years, he insists). “If you have control over yourself and know how to plan things, God also supports you. I had taken clothes for 21 days and here I am out on the 21st day. Things unfolded in a way that I’ve come out exactly on the 21st day,” said the actor-producer soon after he came out of the house. And the humiliating eviction hasn’t taken anything away from this pompous and vain Khan. “I’m happy I have kept the promise I made to Sherlyn (Chopra), that I would quit if the choice is between her and me. She needs to stay in the house for some more time and I saved her like a true hero.”

Housemates may hate him for his boastfulness, but the man makes no attempt to hide it even now. “I hadn’t gone there for money. And I knew I would be able to make it till the end even without working. That’s why I made it clear that I won’t do the dusting and cooking. There are people who’re actually needy. Bakhtiyar and Tanaaz Irani have left their one and a half year-old son for the show. Poonam Dhillon has left behind her two teenage kids. For those guys the desperation to stay put in the house is more dependent on how much they perform inside. I have a huge fan base which I know will vote for me irrespective of whether I work or not. You can check Facebook for my several hundred fan clubs,” he said, adding, “But I never boasted. I just told people about myself when I was asked to.”

KRK also insisted that his sudden love for inmate Claudia was no gimmick to get votes. “I loved her. Nobody starves for 40 hours simply for votes.” And what does he have to say to the thumbs down his dressing sense got inside the house? “I have a designer. And I like what he designs for me.”
