Rajshree Thakur, who plays queen Jaywantabai, in Maharana Pratap, is considering quitting the show due to health issues. Sources claim that since her character is popular, the makers are trying to find ways to retain her on the TV show.

"It’s not finalised, but I’m thinking of quitting because the shoot is getting hectic and stressful,” says the actor, adding, “Our sets are in Vapi, Gujarat, and we stay there for ten days or even a month, depending on the schedule. The hot weather and long working hours are taking a toll on my health.”

Reluctant to comment on the exact health reason, Rajshree says, “It’s personal, and I don’t want to talk about it.” Prod her about if she’s pregnant and she denies it, saying, “No, it’s nothing of that sort.”

As Pratap’s mother, her character is pivotal, but Rajshree hasn’t been shooting for the last 15 days as the track isn’t focusing on her at the moment. “I have no idea when I’ll be needed on the sets again. I am speaking to the producers and, in a few days, we’ll come to a decision about whether I can continue. If my schedule can be worked out, I might stay on,” she says.

Meanwhile, the makers have apparently already started looking out for a replacement. A source tells us, “The names being considered are Rupa Ganguly, Shruti Ulfat, Iravati Harshe and Narayani Shastri.”
