Television’s popular ‘bahu’ and Bigg Boss contestant Pratyusha Banerjee, who was seen showing oodles of confidence in her fans at the beginning of the reality show, was evicted on Saturday night.
Ask her if she’s disappointed with her fans, and the 22-year-old says, “No. I think this show is content based and may be I wasn’t giving much content lately.” So, does she think that this show is somewhere rigged, and contestants not ‘giving content’ are evicted? “No, I’m not saying that, and how can I say all this, I have just come out of the house... I don’t know all this,” she quickly retorts in defense.
Banerjee, who comes from Jamshedpur, also disapproves of being touted a ‘bachhi’ by some contestants. “I had once got an award for being the youth icon of the country, so how can I be a kid!” says the youngest contestant of the show this season, who apparently has no hard feelings for anyone in the house.
However, ask her if she’ll be in touch with any of the contestants, she says, “Except for Kamya (Punjabi), I’ll be in touch with whoever’s in touch with me.” And, how about Andy? Will she be meeting him? “I don’t know,” she laughs, adding, “I think I would not like to see him.”
Finally, prod her for any truth attached to host Salman Khan’s accusation about her doing ‘idhar ka udhar’, and she says, “Pata nahin... I never did idhar ka udhar... I don’t know really what they showed on TV.”
