Living up to the spirit of the ongoing T20 series, TV shows are also going all out to soak up some cricketing fun. Two teams comprising the star cast of over 10 primetime shows battled it out in a nail-biting 20-over match.

If you thought that it’s all work and no play for our TV stars, then you clearly have no idea about what your favourite actors have been up to.

While last month the box cricket league saw popular telly stars including

,

, Ankit Gera, Karan Kundra and Mouli Ganguly participate in an exciting series of matches, recently, two teams comprising the star cast of over 10 primetime shows, under the captaincy of Raj and Samarth of the show, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, battled it out in a nail-biting 20-over match.

“We thought of giving viewers a double drama of cricket. The man who wins the match will walk away with the heroine Avani,” says Namit Sharma of Zee TV.

Meanwhile, as part of the celebrations for completing 100 episodes, the cast of popular daily soaps, Beintehaa and Rangrasiya gathered for a friendly match.

“Most artists are crazy about cricket; they install special screens in their makeup rooms and download mobile apps to keep a tab on scores while they are at work.So we thought, why not give them a chance to hit the pitch themselves,” says Prashant Bhatt of Colors. Looks like cricket fever has indeed gripped the small screen.
