Irrfan Khan, who has made a mark in Bollywood as well as Hollywood, with his acting skills, might soon be part of another international project. The actor is likely to star in the second season of True Detective, the BAFTA award-winning American show.

“Irrfan may star in the popular show. Its last season featured American actor Matthew McConaughey as the lead. The ongoing season stars Irish actor Colin Farrell and American actor Vince Vaughn,” says a source close to Irrfan, adding that the actor’s performance in various international projects make his a much sought-after Indian actor by American film-makers.

“In his latest Hollywood release, Jurassic World, Irrfan has had the longest screen time that any Indian actor has ever got in a Hollywood film,” says the source.

While it was recently reported on some international websites that the actor has shown interest in being a part of the show, Irrfan doesn’t divulge any details.

“I have just finished watching the first season of the show, and I’ve become a fan of it. I would love to be part of it,” says Irrfan.
