Badmaash Company
Channel: Colors

After Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Anupam Kher and Preity Zinta tried their hands at hosting TV shows, actor Juhi Chawla will debut as a host with Badmaash Company a kids chat show, that will air on Sep 17. It will see Juhi interacting with a bunch of kids. “It’s a fun-loving show which I hope everyone will enjoy. Hosting it was great fun,” Juhi was quoted as saying. The show will give parents an insight into what goes on in a childs’ mind. It will have many segments, one of which have kids put in a particular situation and their reactions will be caught on candid camera.

Extreme Tourist
Channel: TLC

With travel junkie Ernie Harker as the host, this travel show, which goes on air on Sep 11, is for the restless traveller in you. Watch as Ernie travels to the most exotic destinations including Cancun, Belize, Rio De Janeiro, Maui and Lake Tahoe, and undertake thrilling adventures on his trip from skydiving, surfing the waves to fly-fishing, skateboarding and rock climbing. “Through this show, we want to bring the best of travel across the globe,” said Rahul Johri of Discovery Networks, Asia-Pacific.

Prayaschit — Gunahon Ke Zakhm

If you like crime-based stories, then this show may interest you. Hosted by actor Tisca Chopra, Prayaschit is a show based on real life crime stories recreated and shown through the eyes of the criminal. The show, which debuted yesterday, revolves around stories of wrongdoing, repentance and a criminals’ quest for forgiveness. “This show aims to give a glimpse into the lives of criminals who are living with the burden of their guilt and seeking redemption,” says Sneha Rajani of Sony. Some of the stories include that of bandit Seema Parihar and criminal Laxman Gole, among many others.

Chef Pankaj Ka Zayka
Channel: Star Plus

This show is especially for those who love cooking and trying new culinary delicacies. Join MasterChef India winner Pankaj Bhadouria on her cookery show as she helps the average Indian housewives with kitchen queries. “Through my show I want to make cooking fun and innovative. It is more of a problem solving show done in an entertaining manner,” she says. The show, which goes on air Sep 12, will have a new theme for each episode.

Greatest American Dog
Channel: Big CBS Love

This reality show has animalistic tendencies, quite literally. The show is centres around dogs and their owners. A first-of-its-kind canine reality show, which went on air last week, it has 12 dog owners and their pets who live in separate quarters and compete with each other to see who is the best. The dogs and their owners will have to survive 40 days of intense challenges to be win the title.
