Karan Patel has been a busy man. So busy, in fact, that ever since his much-talked about wedding celebrations in May 2015, he didn’t even go on a honeymoon, until last month this year. The actor, who is currently playing the lead in a hit TV show, finally got some time off from work.Karan and his wife, actor Ankita Bhargava, headed to London (UK) for a delayed vacation together, from July 23 to 28.

“London has always been my favourite city. I visit it almost every other year. Ankita had never been there. I had been meaning to go there for a while. But due to both our respective shoot schedules, we couldn’t manage to do that. In July, I realised it was the apt time to take this trip with Ankita,” says Karan, who posted photos from the holiday on his social media pages.

The couple had fun being “tourists” and went to all the popular sightseeing spots in the city. “We visited Madame Tussauds, Windsor Castle, Piccadilly Circus and The London Eye too. We went out for long walks. We ate a lot; our diet plans flew out the window,” says Karan, adding, “She was with me, and that was the most fun part of the trip. It is amazing to be in London with your special someone. It was great to see all the monuments and sights. I had already seen them years ago, and I was trying to show off about that. Ankita quizzed me on these places.”

Before he started shooting for his TV show, Karan says he would often go on holidays. But since the show began, it has been tough to take a break. “As it’s a daily, shooting everyday is a must. Hence, trips are something I rarely get a chance to take. The last time, we went to Lonavla and enjoyed some adventure sports, and also on a two-day trip to Goa,” he says with a grin.
