Nearly four decades after her film debut in, Halloween, the American actress may soon reconnect with her horror genre roots as the star of, The Final Girls, a paranormal-themed TV series in the works for ABC Family.
According to Deadline.com, ABC Family has yet to order a pilot but has fast-tracked the show, which focuses on three girls with a troubled past. Having survived their own personal horror stories, the young women are brought together by a mysterious lady, played by Jamie Lee Curtis, who channels their stress and their emotional scars.
The actress should feel right at home in The Final Girls, with its horror film overtones. Known in the 1980s as, The Scream Queen, Jamie Lee Curtis followed her performance in the 1978 film, Halloween with roles in the spine-chilling features, The Fog and Prom Night, among others.
Steve Miner, who directed Curtis in, Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later, will produce and direct a pilot episode of, The Final Girls, should ABC Family decide to place an order.
