‘Jay Hind... made us our own bosses’

, and the first high-definition (HD) and 16:9 format show in India.

“We had approached TV channels with the show but then the producers Undercover Productions, company founded by Mrinal and Abhigyan Jha felt that internet will provide complete creative freedom. Little did we expect the online community to take so well to this novel concept,” he says.

According to Raghavan, Jay Hind... is a stand-up comedy show which takes a humorous look at topical issues in a tongue-in-cheek manner. “We try to go under the skin of the what’s going on. In a TV channel, there would have been lot of interference but here we are our bosses,” he said.

Raghavan, who shot to fame with sitcom Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, says they have uploaded 42 episodes so far but the Facebook page of Jay Hind... already has 3,177 fans. “The netizens are getting to know the wicked side of me. I love doing stand up comedy and the humour here is intellectual and topical done.”
