John Stamos to star in a comedy pilot for Fox

John Stamos, will play a charismatic bachelor and serial womanizer in an untitled comedy pilot ordered by Fox. The life of Stamos's character changes drastically once he learns he is a father and also a grandfather.

John, known for his turns on Full House and ER, will be assisted by creator Dan Fogelman, with whom he recently collaborated on the set of Galavant, and by screenwriter Danny Chun, whose credits include The Simpsons and The Office.

After the disappointment of I Am Victor, which was developed at NBC for fall 2013 but never aired, Stamos will attempt to return to the small screen in his first regular series role since ER.

Meanwhil, Stamos is also preparing to reprise his role as Uncle Jesse on a new version of Full House. The actor is rumored to be leading the charge to bring Bob Saget (Danny), Dave Coulier (Joey), Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.) and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) on board for a revival of the family sitcom, which aired on ABC from 1987 to 1995.
