Actor Sunil Grover will be back on the small screen "sooner than the winter gets over in this part of the world".

The actor was in Lucknow for a performance when HT City caught up with him.
Do we see you return to TV as Gutthi again?
"I am not sure about it (playing Gutthi). But, I would love to surprise them (the audience). I’d keep on entertaining them with different roles and characters."
We heard that the channel and production house are restricting you from playing ?
"I don’t want to comment on that. Let people say what they want to. I too have references on the matter and will talk it out when the time comes. But still, I am thankful and grateful to the platform (Comedy Nights with Kapil) for the opportunity."
Post-split you did a show with ?
"Yes. Recently, we did a show in Muscat. We shared the stage and for some time we were together. Creative differences apart, we are still good friends."
Have you decided on the channel and format?
"One thing is sure that I am not switching industry. I will come up with something… things are being worked out. The day everything is final, I will be the first person to talk about it. Another thing for sure is that I will keep the people entertained to the best of my capability."
Do you intend to be different from the show that gave you immense fame?
"I have done varied roles, be it Kaun Banega Champu (spoof of KBC), Kaya Aap Panchiv Fail Champu Hai or various avatars in Chala Lallan Hero Banney. In films, I can be different according to the role. But in comedy shows, I have to be what the people love most. So, a little bit of my previous elements will be carried forward. In Comedy Nights too, I did varied roles. But
became immensely popular, as it was loved people saw her repetitively in various acts."
How was it coming back to Lucknow?
"I find reasons to come here as I feel I am a child of this city due to my association with it. With friends, amazing hospitality and delicious food, it’s always a treat to be here."
