She won hearts speaking in broken Hindi and performing to Bollywood numbers during her recent stint on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 (JDJ). Now, American dancer and actor Lauren Gottlieb will be seen in an episode of the television show, Yeh Hai Aashqui.

Talking about the show, Lauren says, “It’s more of a favour since the heads of the production house asked me if I’d like to be part of it. It’s a popular series, so I was game. It was exciting. I will be seen playing the judge of a dance competition and, though it’s small stint, it was a great experience.”

Lauren, who was part of choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza’s dance-based film ABCD — Any Body Can Dance, claims that she isn’t looking at working full-time on the small screen. “I am not open to TV offers as films are my focus. In fact, I am on the verge of signing a film, which should be announced soon,” she says.

After JDJ, Lauren has been busy with multiple stage shows. “The whole country knew my name, which is such a heady feeling. I got so much love and appreciation from everyone. The festive season was on, so I went to a few shows for Navratri in Gujarat and Mumbai. I am seeing and living the rich culture of India,” she says. The actor has also been approached to be the face of certain companies, but she’s wary of divulging the details. “I’ve done a few endorsements too, which will be out soon,” says the actor.
