A Salute To India

Watch as your favourite telly stars celebrate the spirit of sovereignty and heroism with its special show 15th August — A Salute to India. The musical show, which will also felicitate real life heroes, will see performances by tv stars such as Pratyusha Banerjee, Mahie Vij and Shabbir Ahluwalia among others. Samir Soni and Mona Singh will be hosting the show.

The iconic show returns on the tube for its fifth season this Independence Day. With actor Amitabh Bachchan as the host, the fifth season of the popular quiz show will present a host of special episodes and special themes for the next 14 weeks. Add some information to your entertainment and prepare yourself to witness history in the making as the show changes the lives of many participants.

Join actor Katrina Kaif on this special episode for which Kaif travels to Naushera that is 130 kms from Jammu. She will be seen spending time with the jawans, experiencing and understating the obstacles that they undergo during their training. Watch as she participates in various activities including firing an AK56 rifle, handling a Bofors gun and playing volleyball with the jawans.

Bose - The Forgotten Hero

Pay your tribute to India’s freedom fighters as you watch this film. It comprises three chapters: the first one is about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s great escape from Bengal to Kabul. The second part depicts his efforts to contact the Russians, Germans, Italians and Japanese. And, the final chapter pertains to his fight against the British. The film has enough drama to keep you engrossed.

Watch the three judges — actor Hrithik Roshan and choreographers Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant — as they salute the national flag and honour it with patriotic songs and performances. As the contestants give some enthralling performances on the Independence Day special, watch Roshan join them, humming his favourite patriotic melody Saare Jahan Se Accha.
