After winning the title on Zee TV’s singing reality show Star Yaa Rockstar (SYR), Mansi Parekh will now appear in a cameo in Sony’s Kuch To Log Kahenge, where she plays a woman ostracised by her family for marrying an older guy.

Talking about her role, she says, “My character, Mandira, will put a spike in the love story of Dr Nidhi (Kritika Kamra) and Dr Ashutosh (Mohnish Behl). She makes them realise that their love won’t be easily accepted by their families, due to their age difference.”

However, in real life, Mansi, who is married to singer Parthiv Gohil and is seven years younger to him, begs to differ. She feels, “Age doesn’t matter in love. Over years, wave length between people and companionship becomes the essence of a relationship.”

The actor, who was last seen donning a rustic avatar in Gulaal, will now sport a modern look. “The role of an urban looking NRI with modern views seemed cool. I’ve never done a cameo, so this role appealed to me. Besides, producer Rajan Shahi wanted someone strong to portray Mandira, so I am glad he chose me.”
