Shweta Tiwari, one of the judges of Aajaa Mahi Vay, on the format of the show and more, interviewed by Gautam Hegde.tv Updated: Jul 23, 2008 17:45 IST
The contestants are couples who are about to get married.
The concept is simple: the contestants dance for the jury (Shweta Tiwari, Ronit Roy and Apara Mehta). If they're the most compatible.. on the dance floor.. they win a dream wedding.
So, which is your favourite shaadi dance number?
Le jayenge, le jayenge dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge.
Which actor's shaadi broke your heart?
Your favourite shaadi dialogue?
Muhurat beeta ja raha hai, dulhan ko bulaiye!
Why is shooting for marriage sequences a pain for the actress?
Because she has to wear a heavy lahenga, jewellery and accessories. Also, she has to act shy even if sharam na aa rahi ho.
If you were a pandit, which TV couple would you like to marry off?
I'd love to get Aamna Sharif and Rajeev Khandelwal hitched.
Runaway marriages - cool or uncool?
(Smiles) So cool!
What is the bride most scared of on her wedding day - her make-up, the duration of the marriage, the first night or her mother-in-law?
(Laughs) Her mother-in-law, of course.
What is the weirdest wedding gift you have received?
(Makes a face) Someone gifted me a parrot! I didn't know what to do with it or how to train it, so I had to set it free.
What is a wife's souten - the remote control, the cell phone, cricket matches on television or Friday men's night?
Cricket matches. You have to scream for your husband's attention.
Your favourite on-screen jodi?
Ronit Roy and me in Kasauti Zindagi Kay.
