is reportedly on the verge of signing a one million pound contract to become the judge of the music reality show, X Factor.
The show’s boss Simon Cowell is willing to shell out the whopping amount to secure the 38-yearold singer’s place on the panel in time for auditions starting in June.
"It’s pretty much a done deal. And, Simon thinks Mel will be perfect for the show. Fine details such as her expenses, budget and filming dates need to be agreed on. Other than that, she’s ready to go," says a source.
Mel B will be joining Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole on the talent show, which will return this summer. Cowell is spending well over the budget on the panel for this year’s series as he wants the show to return to its original fame.
