Actor Mindy Kaling, whose series The Mindy Project, has moved from Fox to Hulu, the American entertainment providing streaming and video on demand services, says the transitions have helped her and set her free. Kaling says Hulu’s lack of concern over ratings has been “the single biggest improvement in my life”.
“It’s completely set me free as an artist,” says Kaling. “It’s so short-sighted to look at week-to-week ratings,” her co-executive producer Matt Warburton says. He adds, “We all know it means less than ever now. It’s a relief to not just be confronted with it all the time.” The Mindy Project season five premieres on October 4.
