When Mohit Sehgal signed Khamoshiyaan, he had high expectations from the show, which came two years after his popular TV debut Mile Jab Hum Tum. But the experience, perhaps left the actor and his fans bit disillusioned. After two months of being on air, Mohit has left the show.

“Yes, I have quit. I don’t want to get into the reasons. I gave them (the makers) a month’s notice and now I am moving on,” says Mohit.

Producer Sai Deodhar explains, “Mohit hasn’t parted on a bad note. Professionally he felt he wanted to do something else.”

However, the buzz is that delays in his payments is the real reason behind the actor’s departure from the Star Plus show. To which Sai says, “Our co-partner Trilogy handles money, so I don’t want to comment.”

Apparently, Mohit was also not very happy with the way his character Sidharth was shaping up. After almost a year of waiting for the show to air, he was disappointed. The lack of TRPs and shift in the plot from being a thriller-drama to a romantic-dramawere also contributing factors.

“He did feel disappointed. Maybe at some point he felt it wasn’t working. Maybe he had another vision, which I didn’t,” says Sai.
