The popular TV star is excited about her wedding that will take place in Dubai next month; adds that this won’t mark the end to her acting career

Nigaar Khan, who has been tight-lipped about the details of her wedding, has finally opened up about the ceremony that will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“I am getting married on July 23. It will be a destination wedding, and an intimate affair for the two families,” says Nigaar. Her husband-to-be, Khayaam Sheikh, is an American citizen, who works in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Once married, the actor plans to move there. Incidentally, some of Nigaar’s family members also stay in Dubai, thus, making the city ideal for hosting the ceremony.

“My mother and sister (Gauahar) are very happy for me. As the date is coming closer, we are getting emotional. They are trying to be tough, but I am sure we will all cry when I depart,” says the excited bride-to-be.

While the wedding will be in Dubai, there will be a small family dinner post the ceremony in Mumbai in August. The couple met two-and-a-half years ago through common friends. They have been dating ever since.

For Nigaar, marriage is a big step, and she is ready to welcome this new chapter in her life with open arms. “I knew that if I was ever going to move out of India, the guy would have to be really worth it. I never thought I could leave the country for anyone. I have found my Prince Charming, and he is worth all the sacrifices and changes I am making in my life. He’s a self-made man,” adds Nigaar.

But will the switch to a different country mean bidding adieu to acting? Nigaar disagrees, saying, “I am not saying goodbye to Mumbai yet. As far as work is concerned, I don’t want to hold on to things right now as I don’t know where my life is going. I am feeling bad turning down work as many good roles have come to me in the recent past.”
