Actor Adaa Khan, who rose to fame with the TV show Naagin, is one of the most well-known faces on television, with more than a million followers on Instagram. While fans are always complimenting her on her fashion sense, she reveals that being in the entertainment industry necessitates that celebrities look good all the time. “Every actor has to be conscious today. When you go for an event as a celebrity, your fans only want to see what you are wearing, how you are looking, so you have to be careful of your clothes, hair and makeup. Everything needs to be just right!”

“This leads to a pressure to make sure that whatever we do, appeals to our fans. When you pick this field as your career, you have to do everything it requires. But when I go out with my friends and family, I am not at all concerned with what I am wearing. I feel free with them”, adds the 28-year old, who is taking a much-needed breather, and reading a few scripts before signing her next project.

Many people today prefer to watch innovative content offered by web series, over the same old television shows, but Adaa feels that the popularity of the latter cannot be underestimated just as yet. “It is a reality that people have stopped watching TV and switched to other sources of entertainment. Today, it’s very difficult to know what people will like. We just have to keep on making shows which entertain people. People still turn to TV when they are bored”, says Adaa.
