who excels as dadi in the show, likes the fame his character has earned, he says that he never aims to embarrass people. “Our logic was not that dadi is a flirt. She knows that she is old but still wants to enjoy life. I wanted to make sure that her kisses don’t look cheesy. There was just supposed to be some mild flirting,” says the actor.

No matter how enjoyable his character seems, Ali does have days when he doesn’t feel like going to the sets. “Sometimes I am low on energy and I don’t feel like shooting. But the minute I reach those sets, I feel charged up,” he says.

However, the 48-year-old actor has decided that he will not take on any more female roles post this. “I don’t think I will do any more lady characters, as no matter how much I try, there will always be some similarity between dadi and the next character,” he says.

In his endeavour to do something different, Ali has started shooting for an upcoming comedy flick by Saurabh Varma. “I found the script really fresh and the characters are so funny. It is a very youth-oriented script and I have never played such a character before. This is why I decided to take out time for this film,” he says.
