Just when you thought TV audience in India is evolved enough to demand quality shows, here’s a rude wake-up call. According to the latest BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) ratings for the February 6-12 week, Colors’ Naagin is the most viewed show in the 6-9.30 pm slot with 2,06,80,000 impressions.
Interestingly, the India-Sri Lanka cricket matches are giving a tough competition to these TV shows as two T20 ties of the series figure in the Top 5 list: at the number 2 and 4 spots with 1,63,12,000 and 1,39,92,000 impressions respectively. Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya is at the third slot, with 1,42,61,000 impressions, followed by Jodha Akbar on the same channel at the fifth spot with 1,34,47,000 impressions.
For Colors, Naagin, Sasural Simar Ka and Comedy Nights Live are the top three shows. But, here’s a surprise for the lovers of Kapil Sharma as Krushna Abhishek’s Comedy Nights Live has recorded more impressions than the last episode of Comedy Night With Kapil.
As far as the channels are concerned, Star Plus, Colors and Zee TV are holding the top three spots.
