The HT City team was in for dollops of laughter when comedians Raju Srivastav and Suresh Menon paid a visit to the office to talk about Mastiii, a new music and entertainment channel on which the two, along with other comedians, will perform gags and parody Bollywood films as well as famous people.

Srivastav gave a preview of the same when he did a flawless mimicry of politician Sharad Pawar and actresses Rakhi Sawant and Bipasha Basu. He added that people often ask him to make fun of them because it only helps them gain popularity.

“There are times when I go to do shows and politicians are sitting in the audience; their secretaries come and ask me to crack a couple of jokes about them,” he says.

But, it can sometimes be risky. “Once, a comedian cracked a joke about Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Jaya Bachchan thought it was me and she called up. I had to clarify that it was someone else,” he reveals.

Suresh Menon was also at his humorous best. “There was recently a headline quoting John Abraham that said: “If we don’t act now, how will we save tigers.” Surely, for the past ten years, he hasn’t acted. It’s about time he did,” Menon joked.
