Priyanka Chopra, Andrew Garfield and Idina Menzel are the stars of Stephen Colbert’s debut directorial venture, Teenage War (or at least the trailer of it). The ‘film’ was part of a hilarious new sketch on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where little kids were asked to come up with a movie idea.
Colbert was taking a dig at 2016’s flop film Monster Trucks, the idea for which apparently came from the studio executive’s four-year-old son. “So I decided if he could do it, why can’t I steal ideas from children too,” Colbert said on the show. He then gathered eight young kids to come up with the plot of an action film where the hero and the heroine are high school kids played by Andrew and Idina.
