After teasing fans with four promo videos involving the show’s host Salman Khan, the premiere date for Bigg Boss 9 was finally announced: October 11.
Though the contestants participating in the show are only revealed on the day the show premieres, the buzz around rumoured list of contestants starts building up weeks before that.
Here, we list names of the people who were approached for the show but have refused the offer.
Self proclaimed godwoman Radhe Maa not only rejected an offer to become a contestant on Bigg Boss, she even sent a legal notice to the show’s producers for using her name to garner publicity.
Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insaan
The ‘rockstar baba’ said no in a stylish fashion, unique to his own character: He said that he is willing to participate if he will be allowed 3-4 hours outside the house everyday to meet his followers. Defeats the whole purpose of a show that thrives on cutting out the contestants from the outside world, even mobiles or internet are not allowed.
Reports earlier said that TV actor Amit was approached for the show. The actor, however, said no to the offer.
The actor who was last seen on reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, was approached for Bigg Boss but she said that she does not want to be a part of the show for now.
TV actor Shivin, of Veera fame, too, was offered an opportunity to go to the Bigg Boss house. The actor said, “Bigg Boss is a good spicy show but I have no intentions of participating in it right now as I am already busy with another show.”
Actors Sunil Grover, Mayur Verma, Ankit Gera, Roopal Tyagi, Maahi Vij, Mohit Malhotra, Arshi Khan, Ranbir Kapoor’s cousin Armaan Jain and LGBT model Nakshatra Bajwe are part of the ‘confirmed list of contestants’ as per reports doing rounds online.
Meanwhile, Sunny Leone’s husband Daniel Webber, south Indian actor Shraddha Das, Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi, TV actor Adaa Khan, Bollywood actor Rhea Chakroborty and TV actor Shaheer Shaikh are said to be in talks with the producers of the show.
