Rajan Shahi, the producer of two hit shows, Bidaai and Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai, has a few things in common with none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Both of them have been brought up in Delhi and have studied in the same school, Saint Columbus.

SRK was six years senior to him. Both moved to Mumbai for their careers — Rajan to be behind the camera and SRK to be in front of it. Recently, at an award function in Mumbai, where Shahi was facilitated for his contribution to Indian television, SRK was present. Shahi, in his little speech mentioned the fact that SRK has been his inspiration since school and he had seen all his plays back then too.

SRK became nostalgic on hearing that and hugged Rajan and his Yeh Ristha team. It was a historic moment for the Badshah of Bollywood to hug the king of television and the entire TV industry was witness to it.
