After John Abraham and Freida Pinto, Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Siddharth Mallya will be seen on Simi Garewal’s upcoming chat show, India’s Most Desirable, expected to air in the second half of May with one capsule a week on Star World. The first two guests who’ve shot for the show, expected to run into 15-18 episodes, are John Abraham and Freida Pinto.
Previously, Simi anchored two seasons of Rendezvous With Simi Garewal on Star World, the last one ending about seven years ago. Apart from her guests and the intimate nature of chats, the host’s white wardrobe was quite talked about. That changes with this show; as she will be seen in clothes that will pair white with other light hues. The show is being shot on Floor No 2 at the Reliance Media Works Studio at Film City. For the first time, there will be a live audience of about 1500 people on Simi’s show who will also be able to interact with the celebrity guests.
When asked, producer Siddharth Basu from Big Synergy confirms the celebrity names and says, “These are just a few. Talks are on with several ‘single’ and desirable celebrities. Each one has a brilliant profile and lots of qualities that validate them as being desirable people.” And how far does a star’s technically ‘single’ status count? “At times, it does, and there are times when it doesn’t because desirability actually has nothing to do with anyone’s marital status,” reasons Basu.
The production house plans to wrap up the shoot towards the end of May. It’s learnt that Basu stepped into the picture at the last minute to produce India’s Most Desirable. “The show was always supposed to happen,” he says. “But it’s true that we had little time on hand to ready the show. Now we can only keep our fingers crossed.”
