TV channel Travel and Living from the Discovery group was renamed TLC a few weeks ago. But it’s not just Living With A Superstar: Shah Rukh Khan that is the channel’s main attraction.

“TLC will add a new dimension to lifestyle programming. We will introduce innovative formats, spunkier hosts and swankier locales; promising the ultimate viewing experience,” says Rahul Johri, senior vice president and general manager, India, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific.

The new programming on TLC will include over 150 hours of new content spread over 15 shows, which will premiere over the next few weeks. Six new faces will be launched as hosts of these shows and eleven new seasons of the existing shows will also follow soon after.

The paid lifestyle channel will be shown in 75 countries by the end of 2011, and is currently available to more than 50 million subscribers across the Indian subcontinent.
