Not again, please! Shows like this not only make a mockery of the audience, but they also torment them mentally and physically. Mentally, because you wonder why a show like this is made at all.
Physically, because as much as you’d want to hurl something at your TV set, you won’t, because you don’t want to lose it for a show like this.
Damn! The story, the treatment and the setting are all so upsetting that you may not want to tune in to this unless it’s the last surviving show on the tube. Chances are that even then you’d look for another option.
A blind mother, a sugar-sweet father, two quarreling bhabhis and two joroo ka ghulam brothers - haven’t we been tortured by this before? The producers, supposedly, were trying to make a Baghban of sorts with a girl in Salman Khan’s shoes, but then guys, this serial is like déjà vu.
Perhaps, a lowly mortal in a remote pocket of the country loves this show but what has the urban audience done to be punished like this? Think about it, dudes.
What we like
* After a lot of thinking, one has to admit that it takes guts to redo an old concept
and don’t like
* Ultimately, it’s an old concept that we’ve seen and heard at least a zillion times before. There’s nothing fresh even if you looked at the soap under a microscope.
