Sakshi Tanwar has clearly made a mark for herself in television. Now, she is planning to venture into the film industry. The actor says that she is open to doing all kinds of roles, but hopes that film-makers find her appropriate for them.
"I think every actor wants to explore every medium, and even I would like to do that. If there are roles that challenge me, I will take them up. I feel it’s also for the film-makers to decide...They should see me in certain roles," she says.
The actor feels that the process of casting has become very open now, and film-makers are not hesitant to cast people across mediums any longer. "Casting has become a character-oriented process. Of course, there are films that are still made with superstars, and written keeping them in mind. But, we are in the best phase of films today, and film-makers are taking actors from different mediums to suit the roles. The boundary between TV and films is blurring now," says the Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii actor.
Sakshi, who was also present at the first edition of the National Children’s Film Festival that was held in Delhi recently, says she loves working with children. "You learn so many things from children. There’s a lot of positivity. They come up with the most amusing questions sometimes," she says.
