It’s the biggest thing you’d have heard today. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan set tongues wagging when he appeared on director Karan Johar’s infamous couch in Sunday’s episode of Koffee with Karan, and gave away a peek into the mind of the man behind the star. Salman appeared on the centenary episode of the show with his brothers Sohail and Arbaaz, and as expected, the candid atmosphere of the show gave way to a series of confessions designed to rattle the industry.
We take a look at top 10 moments from Sunday’s episode:
1. Salman, the virgin, can’t stay away from sex for a month
During the rapid fire round, Arbaaz hinted Salman Khan can’t take a ‘No sex for a month’ challenge. Now despite Salman’s insistence that he was a virgin, we are totally on Arbaaz’s side.
2. Salman is still a virgin
While introducing his guests, an excited Karan Johar reminded Salman about his statement where he had said he was a virgin and Salman replied, "Nothing has changed.”
3. Sohail kidnapped a maulvi for his wedding
Sohail and his wife Seema had abducted a maulvi who told them, “Runaway marriages run in your family.” Incidentally, it was the same man who got their parents wed in the same manner, and he was also abducted back then.
4. Salim Khan on Salman
Salman revealed that his dad Salim used to hit him. Sohail also revealed that Salim once told him, “Beta duniya mein ek Salman Khan hai. Main teen produce nahi kar sakta.”
5. Arbaaz can laugh at himself
Even before Karan could start with his questions, Arbaaz was joking about his own separation from Malaika Arora Khan. When Salman said, “these guys are married,” pointing towards Sohail and Arbaaz, Arbaaz quipped, “Who? Who is married? Don’t you read the papers?”
6. The Khan doors are open for thieves
Salman and Co. narrated that the family had once ensured a thief escaped before the cops reached because the thief had asked for mercy .
7. KJo blames Salman Khan for all the scolding he got from his mom
Karan revealed that his mom Hiroo would scold him and told him to respect moms like Salman.
8. Salman Khan’s personal touch to Dabangg
Dabangg - the movie that revamped Salman’s career is now a cult film and the dialgouse and mannerisms are now part of popular culture among the fans. It was Salman Khan himself who came up with the idea of the peculiar mustache and the dialogues “Hum tum mein itne ched karenge…” and “Kamal karte ho Pandey ji”. Salman even recited the story behind the hook step of “Hud Hud Dabangg”.
9. Salman can do Katrina’s dance steps, Arbaaz and Sohail can’t
When Salman performed steps of Katrina Kaif’s famous song Sheila Ki Jawani, Sohail and Arbaaz said “We don’t have the right to do that.”
10. Salman confesses he isn’t a good person in relationship
Avoiding a question on Iulia Vantur, his rumoured girlfriend, he said, “I am not a good person when it comes to relationships.” “He was good to other people every time he was in a relationship,” Arbaaz added.
