Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn may be his favourite, but looks like it’s Salman Khan who filmmaker Rohit Shetty is cozying up to these days.
Shetty, who has delivered blockbusters including the Golmaal series, Singham and Chennai Express, directed Salman for the promos of the upcoming season of reality show Bigg Boss, last weekend. "Salman was totally chilled out in his pilot look and was humming songs from his film, Kick. Usually, everyone addresses him as
but Rohit was calling him ‘sir’ with a lot of reverence, unlike the prankster he usually is," reveals a source from the sets.
While Shetty directed Salman for the fifth season of this same reality show, this time round, the camaraderie between the two has been the talking point on the sets, adds our source. Rumours were rife that Salman might be replaced with Shetty’s favourite, SRK, as the host of the show.
Shetty, however, insists that Salman is the apt choice. "Bigg Boss has become synonymous with Salman Khan, and nobody can imagine the show without him because no one can do what Salman Khan does with his style and elan," says Shetty, who features larger-than-life stunts in all his films.

Will Salman be performing some stunts, too? "No, because we’ve left the stunts for this year’s contestants," says Shetty, hinting at the possibility of a lot of action in the show.
Contestants aboard a plane?
Meanwhile, with promos of Salman dressed as a pilot, the theme of this year’s edition being around aviation is already out. "The contestants will most likely be called ‘inflight passengers’ and the set will probably be in form of a plane. It could even be a real plane that’ll be flown down from somewhere because the usual set house has not yet been constructed," says a source from the production house, adding that actors Shweta Salve and Karishma Tanna have signed their contracts to be a part of the show this year.
