The 'Bigg' mystery is over! A Khan has replaced Bachchan as the host of Bigg Boss season four. No, it's not Shah Rukh Khan, in fact it is Salman Khan who will be seen hosting the popular reality show.
After a successful season with Big B as the friend, philosopher, guide to the contestants, the channel is hopeful that Sallu will be able to recreate the Big B hysteria if not more.
Earlier, both King Khan and Akshay Kumar were approached to host the show.
Big B's Kaun Banega Crorepati will air on another channel in the same time slot as Bigg Boss. It will be interesting to watch whether Sallu manages to topple Bachchan on TRPs.
Shrugging off competition, Khan told a news daily, "I don’t really care about TRPs. I just like connecting with my audience, which is why I’m doing more of television. Now they get to see me in the comfort of their homes and that too for free."
Buzz is that unlike Bachchan who underplayed his role as a host, Khan will be brutally honest and at his spontaneous best. Obviously, comparisons will be inevitable but Bollywood's favourite bad boy is cool as a cucumber. "All these comparisons are nowhere in my mind," said an unperturbed Salman.
