Sanjeevani actor Sanjeet Bedi dies following a brain ailment

TV actor Sanjeet Bedi passed away on June 23 in a hospital as he was in coma following a brain ailment.

TV actor Sanjeet Bedi passed away on June 23 in a hospital as he was in coma following a brain ailment.



Popular for his role as Omi in Sanjeevani, Bedi was also later seen in Shweta Tiwari’s Jaane Kya Baat Hai among many other Balaji shows. He enjoyed playing negative roles.



Sanjeet Bedi is survived by a wife.



Many of his co-stars and actor friends from the industry expressed their condolences on Twitter.



Having been part of the popular show Dill Mil Gayye he was apparently he was close to his costar Karan Singh Grover especially. He starred in other shows like Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasman, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, Kasautii Zindagii Kay etc.



His co-star Mihir Mishra remembers him fondly and says, "Sanjeet was the first friend I made when I joined the industry 15 years ago. He is the reason that I married Manini as he introduced us. I have many fond memories of him and this news is too shocking. He was a good friend and full of life. We were supposed to meet recently but we couldn’t make it. May his soul rest in peace."
