Shekhar Suman, currently performing on

Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa 4

as a celebrity contestant, is expected to return with his popular chat show,

Movers and Shakers

.

Suman made funny sarcastic remarks on the current state of affairs and interviewed a celebrity guest every night. When it wrapped up, almost a decade ago, the show was among the most popular non-fiction formats running on Sony.

Now, buzz is that Suman and the channel will bring the show back this year. Ajay Bhalwankar, head of programming, Sony Entertainment, without confirming or denying the buzz, says, “It was one of our best formats. But as of now, we don’t know when will we bring it back. For now, we’re happy with Shekhar’s performance on

Jhalak

... His efforts are showing in every act.”

Suman, on the other hand, confirms that he’s had intermittent meetings with the channel personnel a couple of times but nothing has materialised: “I’d be the happiest if the channel decided to bring

Movers and Shakers

back. Right now, I have no clue whether the ‘come back’ is on the cards or not. It will be thrilling if it returns.”
