Sarvar Ahuja, last seen as Pankaj on Imagine’s show Jyoti, will be seen as the Keshav Pandit on the show by the same name. It’s one of the two shows that Kapoor is doing for Zee TV. The other one is called Mera Naam Karegi Roshan. According to a source at Zee TV, Keshav Pandit is based on a popular character from Hindi literature.
“If you travel in a train in the north, you will find detective weekly stories in newspapers and lots of adventurous books dedicated to this character, who has studied law and is willing to help the aam (common) junta to fight for their rights,” adds the source.
When asked Sukesh Motwani from Zee TV, he says that the channel is still undecided on the slot the show will occupy. “We’re not sure when it will go on air. But it’s going to be an hour-long capsule on the weekends. Hopefully, we should see it by May,” he adds.
Sarvar Ahuja who plays the lead in the show confirms that he is a part of the serial, but doesn’t wish to comment till he sees it on air. “TV is unpredictable. I was approached and auditioned for Keshav’s part in January. Since then, it has been three-four months. I’ve still not started shooting. So, I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed.”
Meanwhile Harshad Chopra, the leading man of Chand Chupa Badal Mein, that will be seen on Star Plus in the 10 pm slot soon, is known to be holidaying in Australia before he starts shooting for the show.
