Shashank Vyas to Rashami Desai: TV stars share Diwali memories

Diwali reminds actor Shashank Vyas of family while Ashish Chawdhry says his fondest memory is celebrating with friends.

Amit Tandon’s best Diwali was when his parents came to visit him in Mumbai. “They came to spend Diwali with me. I enjoyed the food made by my mom and we played cards the whole night. It was super fun and so far, the most memorable Diwali,” he says.

Diwali reminds actor Shashank Vyas of family. “I remember how I used to help my mom in the kitchen. I miss those moments from Ujjain. Now we buy sweets and snacks from markets, but it doesn’t feel the same,” says Shashank, who will celebrate in his new Mumbai house this time.

Rashami Desai loves to see the city all decked up. “The best Diwali was in Mumbai only when I went out with family. We also burst crackers. I enjoy the festive ambiance and joy on people’s faces. I cherish the time I went for a long drive with friends. Marine Drive was a beautiful sight,” she says.

Ashish Chawdhry

While he doesn’t burst crackers anymore, actor Ashish Chowdhary says his fondest memory is celebrating with friends. “I associate Diwali with fun... My family loves to light diyas and doing puja. I love hosting parties and being around people,” he says.

Getting to clean her house is Rishina’s favourite thing about Diwali. “Diwali is my favourite festival. It has taught me that cleanliness is godliness. The most memorable Diwali was the one when I had got my home cleaned and painted in the colour of my choice,” she says.
