Shiamak Davar, the umpire on Sony’s Dance Premier League has devised a unique way of encouraging the contestants.

Moving on from appreciating a performance with money, claps and marks, Davar introduced a trophy called the Dancing Shoe Trophy, which will be awarded to a performer who meets his expectations every week.

The first contestant to win the trophy was Binaisha from the Eastern Tigers team for her performance on the song, Pehla nasha. Now, that’s what we call being fair.
