Popular TV actor Shweta Tiwari and her family were in for a shock when the news of her death went viral. A Facebook post on actor Sakshi Tanwar’s fan page declared the news. Shweta’s husband, actor and publisher Abhinav Kohli, clarified that the news is fake and that she is alive and healthy. Abhinav also shares how this is the third time Shweta had been a victim of such a thing.
“When I first got the news I was in Gurgaon. So, I immediately called up to find out what happened and realised it’s a hoax. So I had to clarify that the news is false and my wife is doing well as by then everyone had already started calling us. It’s painful for us, more so because this is the third time Shweta is facing a similar situation. It has happened twice before,” says Abhinav.
The post that was shared in Sakshi’s fan page read, “I feel very sad and shocked on knowing that Shweta Tiwari (Prerna) of Kasautii Zindagi Kay lost the battle with life and is no more. RIP Shweta. Balaji Telefilms and the whole team will miss you (sic)…”
“I think Sakshi had already filed a FIR against the miscreant who had spread the rumour. She is also very upset. Sakshi I have heard has also visited the cyber cell. I feel this is the right way to go about it as this would stop people from doing such things,” adds Abhinav.
Talking more about Shweta, the doting husband shares that she is currently busy with their six-month-old son, Reyansh. “Shweta is on a break (her last TV show was Begusarai) and she wants to spend more time with Reyansh. She is also reading scripts because she is a workaholic who wants to get back to work soon,” he smiles.
