This is one comeback India will be waiting for with bated breath. Actor Reena Roy, who sizzled the screens in the '80s, will soon be back on the screen, albeit the small one, after a gap of 13 years.
Last seen on TV in Barkha Roy's show Eena Meena Deeka (2002), Reena will now be seen in producer Vikas Gupta’s TV show Rani Mahal, and she'll play a Raj Mata.
"Yes, she’s back to acting with this show. It’s a semi-grey, strong character," Reena's sister and producer Barkha was quoted by Times of India.
Reena Roy has worked in hit films like Aasha and Kalicharan.
Rani Mahal deals with the politics of women residing in a palace. Elaborating on her character and Reena Roy’s preparations, her sister Barkha reportedly told Indian Express that Reena’s character will have shades of grey and added that the Roy will shed about 30 kg to prepare for her comeback role. Sakshi Tanwar, Anita Hassanandani and VJ Bani will also be seen in Rani Mahal.
