We take a look at what major television channels are doing to celebrate the festival of colours. Television channels are celebrating the festival of colours with unbridled enthusiasm.

On almost every channel, special shows or episodes are being planned to capture the essence of Holi. Here’s what is in store:

Music ka Maha Muqqabla

.

Today’s episode of this Star Plus show opens with the five captains teaming up to perform

Rang Barse

. Soon afterwards, the captains start putting colour on each other.

The first one to start the riot of colours is singer Mika, who is soon joined by actor Ravi Kissen and singers Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal.

Holi ke rang

For the Holi bash on Colors, leading couples from many of the channel’s shows played a game. Each couple had to hold on to a balloon and dance without letting it burst.

The catch — they weren’t allowed to use their hands to hold the balloons! The four couples who participated were from the shows

Balika Vadhu

,

Uttaran

,

Bhagyavidhaata

and

Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam

. The super-cute Krishna from

Jai Shri Krishna

was also a part of the show.

Sukh By Chance

On the Sony show

Sukh By Chance

, the Mehta family celebrates a one-of-its-kind Holi, since one of the characters from the show —

Mohanlal

— has never celebrated Holi before.
