Show: Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar
Time: 9 pm, Friday-Saturday
Station: Colors
Cast: Akshay Kumar, 13 girls and boys, snakes and ostriches

The show is more fun to watch this season. To begin with, Akshay Kumar returns to his pet show with a bang. The way he dons the cap of a great hosts proves that no one can do this job better than him. He runs, he and readily performs stunts that the contestants have to.

The only change is that he's a lot sterner than his season one and two appearances. His clothes are fun too. In fact, the new accessory he sports on the show, a silver ring, goes well with his personality.

Akshay Kumar hosting the show Khatron ke KhiladiThe stunts have been designed really well. A lot of them are pretty creative. The creepy crawly beings, so far, have been kept out of sight most of the times. The contestant line-up could have been better, but even the ones that are there are, sporty enough.

On the minus side, the weekend slot doesn't work for the viewer. The show was a lot more enjoyable on weekdays. Repeat telecasts every night are a better watch.

At times, Akshay's sternness seems very put up and scripted. Also, he seemed more relaxed in the first two seasons than this one. He has lesser of his typical funny moments. He doesn't need to be so strict.

Show: Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs
Time: 9.30 pm, Friday-Saturday
Station: Zee TV
Cast: Adnan Sami, Kailash Kher, Javed Ali and talent

If you ever wish to see and hear little kids singing like sensations, you need to tune in to this one. This franchise, has always outdone every other franchise on every other channel, as far as scouting for singing talent is concerned. Each one sounds so perfectly in sync. Don't watch this show for anything else except to check out the quality of singers.

The choice of judges is where the disappointment lies. It's a bit boring because all three are men, all of them take themselves too seriously. Their comments and random conversations take a lot away from the kids. That should be looked into. Also, one can understand that Adnan Sami and Kailash Kher have a noteworthy body of work but Javed Ali is a misfit. He seems like a last-minute entry. Still, their jugalbandi at the end of the show is fun.

The singers who are selected are outstanding. And the ones who're not selected have been chosen by the show directors in such a way that they add a lot of funny moments to the otherwise serious singing show. At times there's even a word of caution about how you shouldjudge a child's singing instructor. There's still some dullness to the show, which we're hoping, will improve.
