SRK wins Ghar ki Baat Hai plagiarism case

Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies production has won the plagiarism case filed by Neha Joshi against his serial Ghar Ki Baat Hai. Neha Joshi is the daughter of Sharad Joshi who scripted 1980's hit serial Ye Jo Hai Zindagi.

Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies production has won the plagiarism case filed by Neha Joshi against his serial Ghar Ki Baat Hai. Neha Joshi is the daughter of Sharad Joshi who scripted 1980's hit serial Ye Jo Hai Zindagi.

Ghar Ki Baat Hai that started on January 30 on NDTV Imagine was touted as the tribute to Ye Jo Hai Zindagi.

During the press conference to promote the show the director of the serial Anand Mahadevan had said, Ghar ki Baat Hai is not a remake, rather it's a tribute to Ye Jo Hai Zindagi. We have recast the old characters into the contemporary situation."

"We have always believed that comedy is a medium that brings people together. Our team at Red Chillies are very proud of this show and we look forward to entertaining audiences week after week," said Shah Rukh Khan in a press conference to promote the show.
