So, excited about your first film?

Of course.

should release sometime in August.

But do television actresses click in movies?

I can't speak for the rest but personally, I see no difference between TV and film. It's all about showcasing your talent.

How was it romancing former Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant?

He doesn't have a background in acting. He did his homework before the shoot. So it was smooth sailing.

Shouldn't you have been launched with a bigger star?

It's a trend to have fresh faces in movies today I'm. sure we will be accepted. Abhijeet and I share great chemistry.

Any steamy scenes?

(Laughs) Are you kidding? I play a simple, girl-next door.

Anyway, steamy scenes?

No thanks.

What was it like re-entering

on Star Plus?

It was a homecoming of sorts. The TRPs rose as soon as I was back. Unfortunately, the channel and production house yanked the soap off air. (Shrugs) There wasn't much I could do.

You're filling in for the lead in

Waqt Bataayega

.. Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya too

Yup, I play the fake Rudra. It's a fun cameo.

You've also been roped in for Smriti Iraani's

Yes, but I can't talk about it. I play a rich, pampered girl.

What sort of a boss is Smriti Iraani?

She's really cool. We yak a lot in Gujarati.

Are you paired opposite Iqbal Khan?

Nope, I play his brother's (Yuvraj Malhotra) love interest.

And romance in real life?

I'm married to my career for the moment.
