Reality, oops, reality TV, seems to have got the better of some of tinsel town’s not-so-big faces. Free from first-grade film assignments, these starlets are seen on every second reality tamasha on the tube, and can’t help but do their dramatic best to rake in all those TRPs. Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sambhavna Seth ... blink an eye, flip a channel, and they’re still stuck to your screen.
These so-called queens of reality shows are now richer and more famous, of course, but it’s the viewers who’re getting tired of their repetitive appearances, as much as it seems they enjoy it. But the channels have little choice, say experts. “Every channel wants to grab attention and these starlets create controversies,” says ad guru Prahlad Kakkar. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt says, “I don’t think there is anything wrong in it. They’ve got the skill.” Presenting the ever-there drama queens.

Though the relationship did not last for long. Talking about her journey on the reality shows, she says, “Reality shows have made me what I am today. It is my bread and butter.
